This show has been the result of a series of workshops carried out by the company . With which, it will be possible to visualize here a relationship between the objectives of the workshops and the final results achieved. Despite this, it should be noted that this musical has not been a production entirely of Operetas Solo Musicales , but also of Operetas Training .
SYNOPSIS
In 1965, an old convent in a small town in the United States houses a community of pupils together with the nuns of the congregation. In exchange for a house and food, Stella works in the kitchen and lives with her son Lenny, a young musician who is directing the school choir. Under the unyielding rod of the Reverend Mother, the nuns play on the rebellion by allowing Lenny to rehearse secular and rock songs with the choir. This is an affront to the Reverend who expressly forbids it. The calm remains relative until Maggie, Sister Stigma's niece, she suddenly shows up at the convent having missed her train to Canada with all her luggage on board. With an intruder in the convent, the Reverend's fury will be unleashed without mercy and it is necessary to hide her by passing her off as a novice recently arrived from Algeria who does not know the language. With that excuse, Maggie joins the choir and the student body but on the way she meets Lenny and love is born instantly. In a duel of voices with Tally, the other teenager in love with Lenny, the story unfolds between songs and secrets where confusion will be the order of the day.
