NAMELY...

This show has been the result of a series of workshops carried out by the company . With which, it will be possible to visualize here a relationship between the objectives of the workshops and the final results achieved. Despite this, it should be noted that this musical has not been a production entirely of Operetas Solo Musicales , but also of Operetas Training .

SYNOPSIS

Since her father's death, Satu has lived as a slave under the rule of her stepmother Troya and stepsisters Ingrid and Iverna. Convinced of her solitude, Satu cannot imagine that her grandmother, Ismelda, is still alive in some corner of the forest, now a dark place covered with the ruins of an industrial complex. Troy sends her to meet her with a particular medicine and three apples prepared for the journey. On the edge of the forest, Satu must meet her guide Manía, but she will also be intercepted by Garou, a seductive mutant who only dreams of being a pop star. From there, Satu discovers that he has a huge mission to turn the world into something that has ceased to be.

FOREWORD

House of Troy. In a dark space, Troya faces the figure of Numa who, like a mirror, copies each one of his movements and gestures.

Numa / Troy:
the jewel of the forest
It's sensual steel
The stone will be crystal
when the beautiful leaf caresses her.

Troy:
white rose petal skin
old lake look
blood lips
The jewel is in the forest
and give me the glory.

Number:
Warm Rose Petal Skin
New world look.
blood lips
The jewel is in the forest
and that rose will wrap her.

Troy:

Never never!

Satu sleeps in the middle of a misty dream where some backlit figures appear advancing on her. Umiko's figure is hardly noticeable differentiated in the middle of the mass. Numa, further away, seems to raise a sword in the air. The ensemble fades with a dull rumble and two loud laughs break Umiko's image. Laughing loudly and spilling things, Ingrid and Iverna enter the house.

SCENE 1
Troya: Satu, the house is a mess and the apples spilled on the floor are really disgusting.
Ingrid: Here's the basket!
Iverna: Satu, why did you steal my scarf?
Satus: I don't...
Troya: Her mother must have taught that girl that stealing is an ugly habit.
Satu: I didn't steal that scarf.
Ingrid: So it was the ghost.
Iverna: Satu cleans so badly that even ghosts get stuck in her room!
Troy: My little snow girl is so smart.
Ingrid: I love his acid humor.
Iverna: And I love your fashion sense.

Troya: Fortunately, this family loves each other dearly. Satu, now get that basket out of my sight and go take it to your grandmother Ismelda's house. The liquor supply for the Spring Ball will be increased. And she will love trying them all, of course.
Satu: Okay, tomorrow after going to the fair…
Troy: Did I say "tomorrow"? Has anyone heard "tomorrow"?
Iverna: Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow…
Ingrid: Her mother must have taught that girl that lying is an ugly habit.
Troya: When I order something I don't want it to be tomorrow or some day. I want it now Satu.
Satu: It's just... if you asked me... with a little time...
Troy: Ask? What an insulting word. The saints ask and the devotees ask. I order you Satu and I don't expect you to make excuses for me.
Iverna: Mother…
Ingrid: The gift…

Troya receives from Ingrid a huge red apple half-wrapped in butcher paper that she delivers to Satu with particular delicacy.

Troya: Oh… and this gift… is for Satu. The forest path is long and rugged…and sooner or later you will need to stop to eat and sleep. Take it with you Satu…and enjoy it.
Satu: It looks like it's going to rain.
Iverna: Take your kangaroo.

Ingrid: And jump the puddles.
Iverna: Oh, what happiness.

A dull thunder sounds. Satu finishes saving the mess for her stepsisters while they sing in her room. It rains softly. Satu puts on his red kangaroo, takes the basket of apples and enters the paths of the industrial forest.

SCENE 2
The interior of the forest. Fog and smoke. Some wild flowers appear between the petrified trunks of trees covered with scrap metal and rotting wood. The ground appears to be covered in metallic compost. In the shadows, another voice croons “Kiss the rain” between choking sobs. Satu spots Alycia dressed entirely in white looking disoriented in a corner.

Satu: Are you hurt?
Alice: Is there time?
Satus: How?
Alycia: Do you know if there is time?
Satu: Time for what?
Alice: You don't know either. So there isn't. I'm going.
Satus: No!
Alice: Why not?
Satu: Because I want to help you.

Alice:  I don't think you could do it. Or if? I have lost my brother and I must find him now…before it is too late. But it's dark and I don't know whether to go this way or the other. It is urgent!  Will you help me?

Satu: But I don't know anything about your brother.
Alycia: I'll go this way and you'll go the other.
Satu: And where will we meet?
Alycia: I can't answer that. There is no time! Me over here and you over there... or what will happen...!
Sate: what?
Alice: Bye.

Both start running compulsively on opposite sides. Alycia soon disappears and Satu collapses down a flimsy path. Dark. The feeling of falling is cumbersome. Then deep silence. The silence is only broken by the sound of the river.

PROLOGUE
Troy's home. In a dark space, Troy faces Numa´s figure which, as a mirror, copies every one of his movements and gestures.

Numa/Troy:
This forest jewel
Is of sensual steel
The stone will turn to crystal
When the beautiful blade cuddles.

Troy:
White rose petal skin
elder lake glance
scarlet lips
The jewel is in the woods
And will give me glory.

Number:
Warm rose petal skin
Glance of the new world
scarlet lips
The jewel is in the forest
And this rose is going to wrap it.

Troy: Never…never!

Satu sleeps in the middle of a blurry dream where some backlit figures show up moving towards her. Umiko´s figure is barely perceived differentiated in the middle of the mass. Numa, further away, seems to be lifting a sword in the air. The assembly banishes with a muffled rumor and two sonorous laughter break Umiko´s image. Laughing while pushing and spreading stuff Ingrid and Iverna enters the house.

FIRST-SCENE
Troy: Satu, this house is a mess and the apples spread out over the floor are really disgusting.

Ingrid: Here´s the basket!
Iverna: Satu, why did you steal my scarf?
Satu: I didn´t…
Troy: Your mother must have taught that child that stealing is an ugly custom.
Satu: I didn't steal that scarf.
Ingrid: It was the ghost then.
Iverna: Satu cleans so badly that even ghosts remain stick to their room!

Troy: My snow child is so smart.
Ingrid: I love her acid humour.
Iverna: And I love your fashion sense.
Troy: Fortunately, this family loves each other endearingly. Satu, take that basket out of my sight now and bring it to your grandmother Ismelda at her home. It will increase the liquor provision for the Spring ball. And she will be delighted to taste them all, of course.
Satu: Alright, tomorrow after going to the fair…
Troy: Did I say “tomorrow? Did someone hear “tomorrow”?
Iverna: Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow…
Ingrid: Her mother should have taught that child that lying is a bad custom.
Troy: When I command something I don't want it to be tomorrow or any other day. I want it now, Satu.
Satu: Is just that… if you asked me… with some extra time…
Troy: Ask? What an insulting word. The holy ask, and the devoted ones. I command you Satu, and I don't expect excuses.
Iverna: Mother…
Ingrid: The gift…

Troy receives a huge red apple half-wrapped in brown paper from Ingrid, and gives it to Satu with particular delicacy.

Troy: Oh… and this gift… is for Satu. The path to the woods is long and rugged…and sooner or later you will need to stop for eating and sleeping. Take it with you Satu…and enjoy it.

Satu: It seems that it will rain.
Iverna: Take your hood.
Ingrid: And jump over the puddles.
Iverna: Oh, such happyness.

A deaf thunder sounds. Satu finishes cleaning the mess of her stepsisters while they sing in their room. It´s meekly raining. Satu puts on her red hood, takes the apples basket and takes the roads of the industrial forest.

SECOND SCENE

From the shadows, another voice sings “Kiss the rain” with muffled sobs. Satu spots Alycia all dressed up in white and seemingly disoriented in a corner.

Satus: No!
Alice: Why not?
Satu: Because I want to help you.

Alycia: I don't think you could. Or could you? I have lost my brother and I must find him now… before it's too late. But it´s dark and I don´t know if taking this road or the other. It's urgent! Will you help me?

Alice: Goodbye.

They both start running compulsively through opposite sides. Alycia disappears soon and Satu falls through a flimsy path. Dark. The falling feeling is spectacular. Then, a deep silence, only broken by the river rumour.
