SYNOPSIS

Rosa Magenta, a showy and absurdly eccentric director, rehearses a musical in terrible taste with a company made up exclusively of women. It is financed by The Lady, a widowed billionaire who "doesn't know what to do with her money" and so invests it in the musical just for fun. She also does it, of course, to fulfill the whim of her niece Felicitas, an heiress from ranches raised in the countryside who wants to be an actress at all costs despite her non-existent talent.

The call to find the male figure of the cast is now open, as Felipe presents himself, a young and shy actor who becomes the object of desire of everyone: from Rosa Magenta to the women of the cast, all will want to conquer him although Felipe He will only have eyes and ears for the mysterious ÁMBAR, the mute girl whose only way of speaking is singing, even with her own orchestra that emerges from within her.

To calm the desires of one of them, they will all begin to weave plots that will inevitably get entangled. And that they will explode, as expected, on the night of the Grand Premiere...

PROLOGUE: THE ESSAY

IF I CAN'T DANCE

DANCER QUEEN:
I dance like this because it comes out
I dance like this because I can't anymore
Holding back is not my forte
my hormones are exploding
and this energy brings me life
If I can't dance

I went through academies
and the Lyceum I wore
I made a bar, I made a center
and I failed in everything.

I tore with the "yetes"
and not to mention the “pas de deus”
He did not endure a single partenaire
because the impulse that invites me springs from my body
I can not control myself!
And I hit the air and my pulse races
And I can't stop dancing!
I can't stop dancing
I can't stop dancing!

Luckily always life
gives you another chance
and I found friends and I found the Magenta
and so my talent here could express.

I dance like this because it comes out
I dance like this because I can't anymore
Holding back is not my forte
my hormones are exploding
and this energy brings me life
if i can't dance (x3)
I dance like this because I can't anymore!

> End of test; The Lady lights a cigarette, Felicitas and Rosa Magenta applaud frantically; Munro, following Felicitas, rehearses a falsely enlarged mock clap .
ROSE MAGENTA: Dancer Queen, you carry your name in contact with your nature.
DANCER QUEEN: Was it good?
ROSE MAGENTA: It was...energetic
LADY: And who is she?
DANCER QUEEN: I'm the choreographer.
MRS:  oh!
ROSE MAGENTA: Isn't it extraordinary?

> The Lady, for all answer, exhales smoke for a long time.

THE COMPANY:
watch out for her
what is the lady
he better like you
or your time has come...

ROSA MAGENTA: Dancer, cast, I want you to meet someone (Rosa Magenta calls out to Felicitas who is sitting next to the lady) I want to introduce Felicitas, our guest actress.
FELICITAS (in a nasal voice): Hello!
MUNRO: Don't forget about me.
THE LADY: Shut up Munro, it's not your turn...
ROSA MAGENTA: Felicitas will start rehearsing with us starting today and will audition for the leading role alongside the divine Ámbar.

> The company mutters, notoriously unhappy.

LADY: Let 's see, let's see, let's see! A little order that the director has something to say!
MAGENTA PINK: My dear divas from “Rosas Espinadas, el musical”, we are taking a three-hour break.
THE LADY (rising, majestic, advances): And let no one protest or be late; If they want me to continue financing them, it is better that they comply with me and feel satisfied...completely.
ROSE MAGENTA: Masha dear, nobody is going to let you down.
BRUNETTE: It seems that being satisfied is costing her more every day...

>Exit the cast.
THE LADY: And what's the point of "Masha"?
MAGENTA PINK: I honor the name of Chekhov's lonely lover; As always you wear black...
THE LADY: Look, you're a snob, Rosita... you name Chekhov and you end up like a scholar; but you still believe that Juliet was the one who drowned; and I dress in black because I am a widow...which by the way is a perfect combination to maintain power: black imposes, widowhood moves.
MAGENTA PINK: You are divine; I have so much to learn from you.
THE LADY: Stop flattering me because you already have another reason to do it; what do you think congratulations?
ROSE MAGENTA: Splendid...
LADY: And what else can you say if you have to look good with me and my niece?
ROSE MAGENTA: It is as splendid as you are, Mashita...
LADY: Enough for today! you have me fed up Luckily for you I'm alone and bored and I don't know where to put my money, if not... I'm leaving; and leave aside that "Masha". That repressed has little to do with me; I, what I want, I have it. And for you and above all for your decadent company, I'm just "The Lady".

THE COMPANY (peering):
Beware of her, the Lady spoke
Better not make her angry or her time has come
in small towns
yes there is a lot of honor
and opportunities are not the ones that are left over.

PROLOGUE: THE REHEARSAL

> The company rehearsals the choreography, in front of it, sit, there are Rosa Magenta, Munro, Felicitas and the Lady.

IF I CAN'T DANCE

DANCER QUEEN:

I dance like this because I like it
Like this because I can't take it anymore
In self restraining I'm not the stronger
My hormones are exploding
This energy is taking my life
If I cannot dance.

I've been through academies
And the Lyceum wore out
I trained bar and center
And everything I failed out.

I´ve stood out with the Jetés
Astonished with pas de deux
I can't hold a single partner
Because the pulse in my body invites me
I can't control myself!
When I cut the air my pulse starts rising
and I can't stop dancing
I can't stop dancing
I can´t stop dancing!

At least life always
Gives you a second chance
And I found friends and the Magenta
And my talent here I could glance.

Dance like this because I like it
Like this because I can't take it anymore
In self restraining I'm not the stronger
My hormones are exploding
This energy is taking my life
If I cannot dance (x3)
Like this because I can't take it anymore!

> Rehearsal ending. The Lady lights a cigarette, Felicitas and Rosa Magenta claps frantically. Munro, following, Felicitas, rehearsals a fake widened clap.

ROSE MAGENTA: Dancer Queen, you do justice to your name.
DANCER QUEEN: Was it OK?
ROSE MAGENTA: It was… energetic.
THE LADY: And who is her?
DANCER QUEEN: I'm the choreographer.
THE LADY: Oh!

ROSE MAGENTA: Isn´t she extraordinary?

> The Lady, only responses by exhaling a long puff of smoke.

THE COMPANY:

Be careful with her
´Cause she´s The Lady
You better like her
Or you won´t make it…

MAGENTA PINK: Dancer, staff, I want you to meet someone (calls Felicitas who´s sitting next to The Lady. I want to introduce Felicitas to you, our guest actress.
CONGRATULATIONS (In a nasal voice): Hello!
MUNDRO: Don't forget about me.
THE LADY: Shut up, Munro, it´s not your turn yet…
MAGENTA PINK:  Felicitas will start rehearsing with us since today and she will audition for the main character alongside pretty Ámbar.

> The Company muttered in a clear discomfort.

THE LADY: Alright, alright! Let´s be organized that our director has something to say!
ROSA MAGENTA: My dear divas from “Spiky Roses, the Musical”, we are having a break in three hours.
THE LADY (rising up majestically, moves forward): And if you want me to keep the financing, you better comply and keep me completely... satisfied.
ROSA MAGENTA: Masha my dear, no one is going to let you down.
BRUNETTE: It seems that to be satisfied is costing her more every day.

> The staff leaves.

THE LADY: What was that “Masha” thing?
ROSA MAGENTA: I only doing honor to Chéjov´s lonely lover, as you are always dressed in black…
THE LADY: You´re such a snob Rosita… you name Chéjov to pose as if you were wise, but you still believe that Julieta was drowned to death. And I wear black because I am a widow… which by the way it´s a perfect combination to maintain power: black imposes, widowhood moves.
MAGENTA PINK: You're beautiful, I have so much to learn from you.
THE LADY: Stop flattering me, you already have another reason to do that: what do you think of Felicitas?
ROSE MAGENTA: Splendorous…
THE LADY: And what else can you say if you have to look good with me and my niece?
ROSE MAGENTA: She is as splendorous as you are, little Masha…
THE LADY: That's enough for today! I'm sick of you. Luckily for you I´m alone and bored and with no idea of where to put my money because if I knew… I´m leaving. And stop that “Masha” thing, that repressed have little to do with me. I get what I want. And for you and specially your decaying company, I´m just “The Lady”.

THE COMPANY (leaning out):

Watch out with her, The Lady has spoken
You better not enrage her, or you will be taken
In small cities
There are lots of honor
But few opportunities
